Eric Clapton Covers The Prince Classic “Purple Rain”

Last night saw the first of three nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall with rock/ blues legend Eric Clapton. Good right? Well, it got even better at the historic venue when Clapton surprised fans with one incredible encore.

The guitarist played a meaty 16-song set, and when Clapton returned to the stage for the encore he kicked into a totally unexpected cover of Prince’s classic “Purple Rain” much to the London crowd’s delight.

Clapton takes to the stage again on Thursday and Friday (May 15th and 16th), respectively.
