Fleetwood Mac To Re-release Tusk

-

It was arguably the biggest band in the world in 1979. Fleetwood Mac had had huge success with the album Rumours, and then had released its double album follow up, Tusk. Both albums were fantastic in their own right, and both were huge sellers for the band.

Now, and a must for all fans of the band, Tusk is being re-mastered and expanded. It is set for a December 4th re-release.

Tusk reached its peak at #4 on the Billboard chart, and has since gone on to be certified as double platinum. This updated release of Tusk will be available as a Deluxe Edition, a three-CD Expanded Edition, a single CD, and for those of you who want the ease of a downloadable version, you can purchase both the deluxe and expanded versions digitally.MAC LONG

The Deluxe Edition features a re-mastered version of the original album; an alternate version of the record made up of different takes of each track (most of which are previously unreleased); a disc of outtakes, demos and single mixes; two CDs of unreleased live performances from the 1979-1980 Tusk Tour; a re-mastered two-LP vinyl edition of the album; and a DVD-Audio version of Tusk mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound.

The Deluxe package will also include a booklet full of extensive liner notes and will include brand new interviews with all of the band.

The album’s alternate version will include a rendition of the song “Brown Eyes”; this includes founding Fleetwood Mac guitarist, Peter Green.  The disc of outtakes and demos contains multiple versions of “Tusk” and “I Know I’m Not Wrong,” as well as one of the band’s earlier versions of “Out on the Road” titled “That’s Enough for Me”.

The live concert discs will feature performances from shows in London; St. Louis; Tucson, Arizona; and Omaha, Nebraska.  In addition to renditions of songs from Tusk, the live CDs will also include versions of Fleetwood Mac’s hit songs, “Don’t Stop”, “Dreams”, “Oh Well”, “Rhiannon”, “Landslide”, “You Make Loving Fun”, and “Go Your Own Way”.

The Expanded Edition of Tusk features the re-mastered version of the album, the alternate version and the disc of outtakes, demos and remixes.
