Foo Fighters front-man Dave Grohl has claimed making a live set list when the play is “the hardest thing” because they have a huge catalogue with hundreds of songs to choose from.
The ‘Pretender’ hitmakers constantly struggle to decide which tracks to perform. The band have been together now for an unbelievable 20 years which also means they now have “so many” songs to choose from.
The ex Nirvana drummer turned front-man Dave Grohl explained: “The hardest thing for us is writing a set list as we have so many f**king songs.”[image type=”rounded” float=”left” src=”https:rockmyworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Foo-Fighters-officail-1024×816.jpg” alt=”Foo Fighters”]
The band – which inclues Taylor Hawkins, Pat Smear, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett – are set to headline the Friday night slot at the Glastonbury Festival later this month, and are really excited about their two-and-a-half hour set because it is a “magical” event.
He continued: “When we confirmed that we were playing, people started congratulating us and we were like ‘Great’ but not really understanding.
“Of course now we do, so it’s ‘We are f**king headlining Glastonbury. Bring it on’ and yes there will be nerves.
“It’s such a magical event that so many people come together to experience so many different types of music.”
The 46-year-old rocker who is usually not shy in giving his opinion also weighed in on the Kanye West debate after angry fans campaigned against his slot as a headliner, saying he is sure the rapper’s performance will be “punk rock” because he is defying the haters.
Grohl told The Sun newspaper: “He could walk out there and have 100,000 people bottle him on stage or he could walk out there and show the world that nothing else matters except for that moment. And I’m sure that is what he will do.
“To me there is nothing more punk rock than having him stand on stage in front of 100,000 people after thousands of people petition for him not to be there.”
Glastonbury runs from the 24th to the 28th of June. https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/;
