My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero has been going strong since 2014 with his solo project Frank Iero and the Patience.
The New Jersey-based guitarist and friends have released two solid studio albums since then, with Stomachaches as their debut, and Parachutes having caused a stir with its release Via Vagrant just last October.
The band is now releasing a fresh limited edition LP titled Keep The Coffins Coming that will be available this coming September 22 through hassle Records. Along with it will come a series of performances in the UK this fall.
The four-track record was produced by American musician and audio engineer Steve Albini, who is best known for his work with artists like Manic Street Preachers, Cheap Trick, The Jesus Lizard, The Fleshtones, and The Frames, among others.
Via NME yesterday, Iero talked about the record and the upcoming September/October tour in support of it.
“The Patience and I just decided that being in Europe three times already this year wasn’t quite enough,” said Iero, “so we are planning to come back for even more fun in September and October. Our old friends in Dave Hause and the Mermaid, the Homeless Gospel Choir and Paceshifters will be joining us for dates in England, Scotland, Wales, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.”
The UK tour begins Wednesday, September 20, at Newcastle University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and ends on Friday, October 20, at West End Centre in Aldershot.
Tickets go on sale at 9AM this Friday, Juy 28.
