They really are the band that can do no wrong at the moment. The latest news from the Greta Van Fleet camp is that The first Saturday Night Live of 2019 will feature the return of rock music to the long-running show.
The band has been confirmed as the musical guest for SNL’s show (January 19th). Greta Van Fleet will be the first rock act to perform on Saturday Night Live since an appearance by the Foo Fighters at Christmas time in 2017.
As well as the band, they will be joined by special guest host Rachel Brosnahan, the star of the Amazon Prime show, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Greta Van Fleet tweeted: “It is an honor to announce that we will join [Saturday Night Live]’s esteemed legacy on January 19!” Adding: “The brilliant [Rachel Brosnahan] will host the special broadcast, their first of the year.”
GVF released their debut album, Anthem of the Peaceful Army, late last year and have built a solid fan base and momentum ever since.
