Ready for a road trip? Well as we all know, the classic road-trip consists of the packing, filling up with gas, snacks, and then, of course, the radio. Question is, who’s music are you hoping will hit you from the airwaves?
Well, in a new poll that has been conducted the non-profit Car Care Council, the music and singer that people want to listen to as they head out on to the road is Bruce Springsteen.
Yep, ‘The Boss’ is the man. The automotive market research company IMR Inc. polled over 25,000 people throughout the U.S. from the ages of 18 to 65, and 24 percent picked Springsteen as the artist they felt would get them in the right frame of mind for a long drive.
Next up was country star Keith Urban with 16.4 percent of the vote, coming in at third was pop star Bruno Mars with 16.1 percent, and Singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett finished in fourth.
Car Care Council executive Rich White explained: “With April being National Car Care Month, we thought it would be a fun idea to find out which musicians car owners like to listen to when getting ready for a road trip,” adding: “It was no surprise that Bruce Springsteen, the guy who wrote ‘Cadillac Ranch’ and ‘Pink Cadillac,’ would be the top choice.”
