The music business and bands are synonymous with the world of branding. We’ve seen hard liquor, collectible dolls, soda, even coffins, but this matchup may be one of the strangest yet.
Officially licensed products are all over the market place, and discount supermarket chain Aldi want a piece of the action and we have to say their idea might be the cleverest band-related products yet. So, what is it? Well, it’s a new range of cheese, yeah, you read it correctly, cheese.
Delish.com have reported that with the fast approaching Grammy Awards, Aldi’s Happy Farms brand has come up with a brilliant idea to launch six products named after some of the best-known rock and pop classics.
As of February 6th, music fans will be able to get their hands on Sweet Cheddar Of Mine, Pour Some Gouda On Me, Wake Me Up Before You Goat Goat, Girls Just Wanna Have Fontina and Total Eclipse Of The Havarti at Aldi stores across the US. There’s no word yet if these will be in European locations, but we’ll keep you posted.
A word of caution, be quick though, all six are limited edition and you can bet they’ll be gone in a flash.
