We’re learning more about where late Beatles man John Lennon’s was in the mid to late 1970s. His official Instagram page has uploaded a rare 1976 word association game that Lennon was asked to play and in the game, the iconic singer-songwriter calls Elvis Presley ‘fat.’
Interestingly, this was just a year before a very overweight Elvis was to die from a heart attack at the age of 42 at the Graceland compound in Memphis, Tennessee.
We also get a glimpse of where his head was with regards to his Beatles bands mates at the time with Lennon praising Paul McCartney as being ‘extra-ordinary’ but as for George Harrison, he described him as ‘lost.’ Lennon also referred to Ringo Starr as a ‘friend.’
Here’s how the word game went. Today, how do you associate to the following, described in one word?”
New York: Great
Howard Cosell: Hum
Lennon’s Instagram account has been busy as of late, it also recently posted:
‘I’m a cinema verité guitarist; I’m a musician and you have to break down your barriers to hear what I’m playing. I’m an artist and if you give me a tuba, I’ll bring you something out of it.’ – JL, 1970
