In a story we told you about a month ago, Kiss performed their first club gig in decades when the trod the boards at the famed Whisky a Go Go club in Los Angeles last night. The bands 12-song set was performed on a tiny stage for the room packed with contest winners.
Paul Stanley said of the gig: “It’s so cool because right now we’re on the End of the Road tour, so we’re playing all the arenas – and to be able to go back and relive what we did once upon a time, is pretty awesome,” adding: “It all starts in the clubs. If you want to really make it, you don’t do it by going on a talent musical show – you go into the streets and you play for people.”
For those SiriusXM subscribers who didn’t make the gig last night, they can check out the full Whisky a Go Go show on the band’s limited-run channel, Kiss Army Radio, at 5PM EST today.
It’s back to the normal stage size for the band tonight when they play the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. The very same venue where the band’s former Arena Football team used to play.
The band’s North American leg of their End of the Road tour is will run until May 4th, winding up in Mexico City. Then, following a trek overseas, they hit the road again in the states in August and September.
