Lars Ulrich Shares A Throw Back Shot From Hall Of Fame Induction

-

Always pretty active on social media, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has shared rare photos from the night Metallica was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.

Lars told fans via Instagram: “10 years ago today our induction into the @rockhall celebration began.

To kick off the weekend, we threw a party….

And what a party it was..

The idea was simple…

Invite everybody who had a role or were in any way responsible for Metallica getting into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

Managers, producers, record company folks, touring crew, journalists, photographers, designers, assistants, radio & TV peeps, family, friends, the neighbor down the street who invited us in for a 6 pack one night 20 years ago … you get the picture!

By the time we had combed all corners of MetalliWorld, there were about 250 people on that list.

… and you know what??

They all fuckin’ came to celebrate with us.

Yes indeed… what a fuckin’ party!

Here are a couple of snaps from that first night… recognize any of the familiar faces??

The band has just completed the latest North American leg of their ‘Hardwired…To Self-Destruct’ tour. Next up will be Australia with Slipknot later this year.
