Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker has confirmed that blink-182’s forthcoming record will be out before this year’s Warped Tour. Barker stated in an interview with Front Row Live Entertainment, that the new record may be one of the most important blink-182 records yet.
Barker has also confirmed that the record has the same vibe as their self-titled.
“It’s kind of anything goes. It’s the same vibe that was that was going on when we did the self-titled. Literally anything goes,” Barker says in the interview. “I think we’re creating one of the most important blink albums, so I’m really proud of it.”
“It will definitely be out before the Warped Tour,” Barker continues. “I think we’ll be wrapped up right after the time we play Back To The Beach.”
Barker confirms that some of the band’s forthcoming effort is being produced with Pharrell. In fact, Pharrell is one of three producers working on the upcoming record, alongside John Feldmann and the Futuristics.
“So Feldmann has been working on the record, but I’ve also been doing a lot of writing at my own studio and then bringing it to Feldmann.” Barker says. “We’ve also worked with Pharrell on the new blink album. And we’ve also worked with this other producer The Futuristics, which is a team.”
