Public Image Limited Release ‘Bettie Page’

-

He fronted one of the greatest punk rock bands ever, and now, ex-Sex Pistols and Public Image Limited front-man, John Lydon is back. PiL has a new album out and the band has just released a video for its track “Bettie Page”.

In a recent interview, Lydon told Rolling Stone that the early Playboy Playmate was a “pioneer.” “Bettie Page” appears on Public Image’s new album What The World Needs Now. The album was released back in September and the band has been busy touring and releasing tracks and videos to promote its release ever since.

When asked about the new album, Lydon said of the writing and recording process, “We were all gagging at the bit to get in and just enjoy each other’s company. And this is the end result. That’s not to say that we’re perfect human beings. We had arguments, but they always led to good things.

“There’s none of that petulance that I’ve seen with other people I’ve worked with over the years. PiL is now in a position where I’ve always wanted us to be—completely independent of outside authority.”
