Rock Legend David Crosby Announces Fall North American Tour

-

In support of his upcoming solo record Sky Trails, legendary folk singer-songwriter David Crosby has announced a 2017 fall tour of North America.

The record lands Friday, September 29 via BMG, while the tour kicks off Monday, October 30 at City Winery in Chicago, IL and wraps Saturday, December 9 at Capitol Theater in Clearwater, Florida.

Keyboardist James Raymond (Crosby’s son), drummer Steve DiStanislao, composer and guitarist Jeff Pevar, bassist Mai Agan, and vocalist Michelle Willis will join David Crosby on the road as his official band.

Sky Trails marks as yet another one of the artist’s highly anticipated solo releases in the last few years, and Crosby has already shared a swooning pair of singles from the collection of new work, which are titled “She’s Got to Be Somewhere” and “Sell Me a Diamond.”

Crosby spoke to Rolling Stone back in 2016 where he tastefully reflected on his writing process. “I always write in bursts,” he said.

“The last couple of years have been the densest, longest writing surge I think I’ve ever had.”

“Most people at my age are either lazy or they’re just pulling the handle trying to get another hit. They feel that maybe they’ve said everything they want to say. They also just don’t work at it. I’m not smarter or better than they are. It’s just that the songs are coming to me.”

Tickets for David Crosby’s upcoming tour will be available for purchase Tuesday, August 8 via Ticketmaster and Crosby’s official website.
