Graphic novels from bands are all the rage at the moment and the latest band to jump into that arena is Rush. The band has authorized a graphic novel that chronicles the band creating of the album A Farewell to Kings and will be released September 10th.
The novel will be 144 pages long and was created by Fantoons animation studio as well as input from Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and producer Terry Brown who produced the bands Kings album producer Terry Brown, who also wrote the book’s forward.
This isn’t a first for Rush and Fantoons, they have previously collaborated on 2015’s RUSHToons by Fantoons Vol. 2112 and 2017’s Where’s Geddy, Alex and Neil Vol.
There will be even more in the way of collectibles when a 70-page coloring book “packed with gorgeous Rush artwork and references from Moving Pictures to Clockwork Angels” will be released in July.
