Tomorrow night will be a big one. The line-up for Wednesday’s (Jan 16) Chris Cornell tribute show has grown again, and the latest person to sign up is Perry Farrell.
First announced by Farrell’s wife on Instagram, the Janes Addiction singer confirmed it on his Twitter account. Farrell also let slip that another huge star from the rock world may have signed up for the show at The Forum in Inglewood, California, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler.
Farrell wrote: “What a trip it was to walk into rehearsal with [Audioslave’s] Tom Morello and Brad Wilk for The Forum show…and find Geezer Butler playing bass.” As of yet, Butler’s participation hasn’t been officially confirmed to the press.
As well as the above, drummer Josh Freese, who’s played with Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle and Guns N’ Roses, has announced that he’ll also be appearing at the concert. The Melvins have also said that they will be performing at Cornell’s tribute.
If the above isn’t tempting enough, add Foo Fighters, Metallica, Faith No More’s Mike Patton and Ryan Adams, as well as members of Audioslave, Soundgarden, and Temple of the Dog to the bill.
It’s going to be one hell of a night of music that’s for sure.
