The Winery Dogs

-

No, ladies and gentleman, rock is not dead! The newest supergroup currently making waves on the wild plains of rock and roll, The Winery Dogs, is made up of legendary bassist Billy Sheehan (Mr Big), guitarist and vocalist Richie Kotzen (Mr Big, Poison), and drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Adrenaline Mob).[pullquote  type=right][counter num_start=”0″ num_end=”50″ num_suffix=”%” num_speed=”2500″ num_color=”#9b59b6″ text_above=”Rock -Tastic”][/pullquote]

Whew, that is some lineup of seriously well-respected musicians!

Their first self-produced, self-titled album was debuted in July of 2013 in Japan through Victor (a subsidiary of WHD Entertainment), followed by a total worldwide release several months after through Loud And Proud Records. With impressive and welcoming reviews abound, fans can expect an even more powerful performance from this incredible team of three with their upcoming release of their second album Hot Streak available online and in stores early this October.

“We elevated the band to the next level,” said Kotzen in a recent interview with Loudwire. “I wasn’t nervous about it at all. There’s always that worry with a follow-up record when you have a first one that’s so well received, but I believed in it from day one.”

This is a supergroup which truly aims to showcase their influences of Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, Jimi Hendrix, and Alice in Chains— and, their backgrounds in rock aren’t too shabby either!

Their current single “Oblivion” was recently broadcasted to the nation by Eddie Trunk (That Metal Show) on SIRIUSXM this past weekend, and we already want more!

The Winery Dogs will be kicking off their next tour on October 3, 2015 at Ridgefield, Playhouse in Connecticut — exactly one day after the release of Hot Streak! To view upcoming dates and to purchase tickets visit TheWineryDogs.com
